Amongst the many hidden coves on the Helford Estuary is Frenchman’s Creek, made famous by Daphne du Maurier in her book of the same name. Located the south side of the Helford estuary, this is the Cornish holiday makers favourite location when using a kayak. Backed by pretty woods, this secluded cove with its shingle beach is a great place to make your way to. Being just a mile east of Helford Passage where there is parking, on the hill, and space to enter the water.

The team at Helford River Boats provide a basic tuition on how to use a kayak on the Helford estuary and the safety regulations you need to observe. The HRB team also provide the safetyware for your kayak.
