Elizabeth Dale is a local Cornish Historian who was kind enough to provide the team at Helford River Boats a wealth of historic information on the 1000 years of the Ferrymen who have piloted the Ferry Boat across the Helford River. Our objective was to cerate a new website for the newly acquired business and attempt to reflect the beauty of Cornwall as well as its history that exists outside of the Tin Mine industry. Elizabeth Dale provided a great timeline of the Ferrymen as well as a historic guide to the Helford River that will form part of our planned river tours. Today, Elizabeth Dale visited us at Helford Passage and took a trip in our Ferry Boat over to Helford Village.
