Our pub food menu changes daily, driven by the freshest of ingredients sourced as locally. Indeed, our pub slipway is used by local fishermen who provide us with fresh crab, lobster, monk fish, mackerel and more.

As a Cornish pub, we always have the classic dishes including, fish and chips, moules mariniere as well as juicy steaks and burgers. In addition, our menu includes local pasties and of course, Roskilly’s ice cream!

During the summer, if you arrive at the helford River Boats pontoon, just minutes from our front door, you will be greeted by the mouthwatering smell of authentic stone baked pizza being cooked in our outside pizza kitchen.

From the Autumn and through the winter months we serve a succulent Sunday roast, with vegetarian and gluten free options.

Located in Helford Village, the Shipwrights Arms enjoys the surroundings of the most beautiful river estuary in Cornwall. If you are staying in our newly built luxury rooms, then you will want to take in the local Cornish beauty spots and the leisure activities that are on offer via Helford River Boats just across the river from us. The famous Southwest Coastal Path passes directly in front of our Cornish pub and continues across the estuary, passable using the HRB Ferry.

Helford River Boats offer their boat hire service, kayak hire, SUP hire and their famous 90 minute river tour taking in the historic locations along the Helford Estuary.

Once on the other side of the Helford River, you are very close to Trebah Gardens and the National Trust – Glendurgan Gardens.
